How the White Girl Got Her Spots...

How the White Girl Got Her Spots...

Lindsay co-directed How the White Girl Got Her Spots and Other '90's Trivia with Shayok Misha Chowdhury for Ars Nova's 2017 ANT Fest. A musical mythography of writing partners Grill and Chowder (Laura Grill Jaye and Shayok Misha Chowdhury) with a jazzy, indie-folk score. And a Dream Phone.

Macbeth

Macbeth

Lindsay directed this five-woman Macbeth, produced by The Tempest Ladies, which ran in Istanbul and NYC in 2013. This highly physical and musical production was developed through a year-long devising process, which included a workshop production.

Twelfth Night

Twelfth Night

Lindsay co-directed Accidental Shakespeare Company's flagship production of Twelfth Night, a six-actor, gender-bent production in which the actors played all the music live. The production was developed through months of workshops with actors and musicians who became core members of our later performance series, Hit & Run Shakespeare.

Hit & Run Shakespeare

Hit & Run Shakespeare

The Accidental Shakespeare Company's signature performance series. Audience participation was a crucial element of Hit & Run Shakespeare, which helped grow our audience base from 50 to nearly 200 regular attendees at the bimonthly performance series. The Hit & Run series fostered a community of performers alongside a community of devoted audience members, many of whom had never connected with Shakespeare before.

Workshop Series for Directors

Workshop Series for Directors

For Accidental Shakespeare Company, Lindsay produced a workshop series giving space and funds to directors experimenting with ways to reinvent classical text. Above is an image from Comedy of Errors: A Homeland Security Carnival (dir. Ben Prusiner).
